I hired Micheal Chastaine in 2019 after having gone thru 2 other criminal attoneys (Terry Gilbeau and Barry Zimmerman). I hired Michael because of his reputation dealing with my type of case. Unfortuantely it was well publiized and Placer County DA’s office apppeared to want to make an example of me. Micheal was able to navigate a settlement that was significantly better then what the other 2 attorneys were trying to get me to agree to .The result also got me to where the 5 years parole that we took ended up going to probation within 30 days who then removed me from probation after 1 year. A big part of my resolutionwas that I felt Michael actaully cared and tried to get me a reasonable result. Terry Gilbeau was a friend and more business law and not able to provide the defense I needed. Barry Zimmerman is the attoney you recommend to your worst enemy- horrible in everyway. Perhaps after having to deal with such criminal law incompetence as I did with Zimmerman I was very biased toward the service I recieved from Micheal. Hope to never have to use Michaeal Chastaine again but if I ever need criminal defense, will definately always go to Michael first. Ps one of the best things Michael did was inform me in detail of the process and strategy we were going to use.Also provided 2 books to help me understand the process and why it was best to fight to get the result we needed.
